My Shitty Intercessory Prayers

I don’t think many of my intercessory prayers are very noble. They are often selfish. I often pray for things I cannot do. That’s fine, but I also find myself praying for God to do things I am unwilling to do. I am asking God to expend himself on behalf of another sometimes in ways I am unwilling to do. I am fine having Christ suffer for the other, but I’d really rather not be inconvenienced or suffer for this person that I am bringing before God in prayer. That’s pretty shitty.

  1. Yeah. But, if you can see what you are doing, there is always hope you may be able to do better some day. Grace is still somehow in the mix.
