Links and Notes from May 1 2012

Picked up on Voices and extensive interview with Pres. Obama on his faith journey. Fascinating. This fall we will have an Mormon whose faith story sounds quite evangelical, but with all the terms meaning something different running against someone whose language doesn’t sound evangelical but with a history in the mainline African American tradition, the one from which MLK Jr was from. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to reflect on this further.  You couldn’t ask for a better wedge-test-case dilemma for those who simply feel better if there is a “man of God” in the White House, never mind the politics.

James KA Smith video preview of his upcoming book on “The Fall of Interpretation”.

The new Christopher Nolan Batman trailer looks engaging! Trailers are of course movies in and of themselves, a sort of epigenetics of the foundational movie.

Terrific blog post on the Church of No People on Priorities during the decades of our life.
