Again, the notion here is “inside/outside” and somehow by leaving you can see and think more clearly. The metaphor always suggests that it’s like leaving a building. What is lost is that it is more like changing rooms. Room 2 shapes, assumes, impinges, influences just like Room 1 did whether you know it or not. This is still the myth of modernity.
