   Excellent article, Paul.

   Especially helpful is the Creation/Fall/Redemption/Consummation spectrum, with the neo-puritan emphasis on 2 and 3, and the neo-calvinist emphasis on 1 and 4. It highlights the weaknesses/ growth points of both movements. Within our own tradition I feel that we are often great at articulating the big picture but have difficulty in terms of being able to speak of our faith in personal terms.

   Worth noting is the role that the deep piety of “2 and 3rs” had in bringing Kuyper himself to an orthodox understanding of faith.
