    The odd thing in the context of the current debate is that DeYoung would have the caterers be part of the religious celebration. Here, I have to wonder, ‘didn’t Jesus toss out the money changers?’

    If we take it as a truth that the ceremony is religious, then the reception necessarily is secular. Far from strengthening the conservative stance, he makes it less viable.
