Read a couple of nice pieces on http://thinkchristian.net . http://thinkchristian.net/coming-face-to-face-with-sex-offenders-in-lost-memory-of-skin is a haunting review of a very serious and reactive subject. Right now I don’t know of any other subject that so exemplifies the complexity of the disaster of humanity. Sexual abuse is so destructive and so often the perps were themselves victims. The chain of brokenness is forged in anger, tears and frustration and we are so often powerless to break its links or forego new victims finding their way to its bonds. Glad someone had the courage to write about it.
Was thinking about the question “What is religion” a bit this morning. Hope to get a chance to do more writing about it. Thinking about that in terms of some of that Eric Schmidt had to say at the Mobile World Congress keynote http://youtu.be/4DKLSO8wYzk Here’s Nilay Patel’s live blog http://live.theverge.com/Event/Eric_Schmidt_keynote_at_MWC_2012?Page=0
A bit later from Voices this really find piece by John Anderson on why Santorum and Mohler have it wrong in terms of the missional direction the church should take. http://johnharmstrong.typepad.com/john_h_armstrong_/2012/03/the-santorum-debate-and-the-missional-church.html
