Russell Moore “A Church of White No More”

There have been some commentators, Republican by the way, who claim that their party has been, (for many of the past years if not decades), pandering to the decline of white privilege in America. (The uniting of the part with the Dixiecrates under Nixon for example.) No one has said this has been an overt policy of the party’s political philosophy but it was clearly there. Their concern is that this isn’t supposed to be the heartbeat of the party’s core philosophy. Fiscal and moral conservatism is supposed to have been the party’s rallying cry. Yet with the impending Republican selection of Donald Trump as their presidential candidate, (a candidate who is neither fiscal nor morally conservative), the loss of white privilege elements have appeared to have clearly taken over. It is a tragic turn of events when the “Crazies”, as Republican leadership refers to them, have take over the party of Lincoln.
